Update Battle.net Account Phone Number

To Update or Remove Your Phone Number

1. Log In to Your Account

   • Go to your Account Details page and sign in

2. Find the Phone Number Section

   • Click Update to change your number
   • Click Remove if you want to unlink your number

3. Verify Your Identity

   • ​​​​​​​Complete verification using one of the following:

     • Authenticator code (Battle.net Authenticator app)
     • SMS code (if SMS Protect is active)
     • Email code (sent to your registered email)

4. Enter the New Number (if updating)

   • ​​​​​​​Make sure the new number can receive SMS messages for security features and game requirements

If You Can’t Access Your Account

Use the Account Recovery Tool to regain access first, then update or remove your number.

Use Linked Accounts as a Backup

If you have linked an external account (e.g. Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Apple, Google, Steam, Facebook, etc.), instead of logging in with your Battle.net credentials, click on the external button to login using your third party account credentials.

If you still can't update or remove the number on your account, contact us.

Note: Some games require an SMS number to play. Removing your number may prevent access to those games until you add a new one.
